Terms of service

These terms apply to estimates prepared and work carried out by MV Renovations Inc. in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

Estimates

Estimates are prepared from the information and photos you provide and, where possible, a site visit. Unless stated otherwise on the document, an estimate is valid for 30 days from the date it is sent. Prices may change after that date, or if conditions are found that could not reasonably be seen beforehand (for example hidden water damage, structural issues or unsuitable substrates).

Approval and deposits

Work is scheduled once you approve the estimate in your portal. A deposit is typically required to reserve your dates and cover initial materials, with the balance invoiced against the payment schedule shown in your project. Deposits are applied to the final amount and are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or a start date is held.

Changes to the work

Any addition or change to the approved scope is issued as a change order showing the description and price. Work on the change begins only after you approve it in the portal. Declined change orders leave the original scope unchanged.

Scheduling

Start and completion dates are our best estimate and can be affected by material lead times, inspections, weather and access to the property. We will keep you informed of any change through your project page.

Your responsibilities

Please provide safe access to the work area, clear the space of personal belongings, and confirm any strata or municipal approvals needed for the work.

Warranty

[Warranty placeholder — to be confirmed by MV Renovations.] Our workmanship is warranted for a defined period from the date of completion. Manufacturer warranties on materials and fixtures are passed through to you. The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage caused by others, movement of the building, or lack of maintenance.

Photos

We photograph work in progress and on completion for our records. Photos are only published on our website or social media with your permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
